Adam’s get it done attitude and work ethic far exceeds any others. His need to have everything look just right is what sets him apart. With over 4 years of experience running large scale jobs, Adam is a key asset to our success.

Alex has years of in depth, hands on, residential irrigation experience and knowledge, which is vital to the creation of a healthy garden. Alex’s dedication to perfection leaves no aspect of a landscape installation by the wayside.

Lene attended Bellevue and Shoreline Community Colleges along with Lake Washington Voc-Tech with an emphasis on Keyboarding, Public Relations and Spanish. She has over 20 years of administrative experience and a love for gardening. She oversees the day to day activities of the office and is the person you will reach M-F with any questions, concerns or comments you may have.

Mario’s skills with pruning and plant maintenance and his many years of experience in property maintenance are an asset to Planting Design and our maintenance customers. He is attentive to individual needs and will give you a yard you can be proud of.

Manuel oversees the day to day nursery operations at the Farm. He has many years of experience working with plants and trees and is responsible for the health and well being of the extensive selection of inventory we have at the farm. If needed, Manuel assists with deliveries and on-site work at our project sites as well.

Jessica graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Landscape Design.
Although the newest member to our team, Jessica’s past experience and education have made her a valuable addition. Her knowledge of landscape design, plant layout, plant installation, irrigation systems and drainage are all assets to Planting Design and our customers.

Denis graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a BS in Architecture. Denis has many years of design experience. His attention to detail, his skills in rendering and design, and his intricate construction details provide our customers and crew with accurate and beautiful hand drawn designs and details.

Mari grew up in Renton and spent summers working on her family’s Bainbridge Island farm.  As a 4th-generation Washingtonian, she is continuing the family tradition of farming.  Along with Rod and the crew, she assisted in the conversion of a dairy into the company’s wholesale tree farm and nursery.  Her touches can be seen throughout the farm and formal gardens she helped to create.

Rodney L Juntunen, always knew he wanted to be a landscape designer. Rod graduated from the University of Washington with a BS degree in Landscape Architecture.  After school Rod started his own business, Planting Design.  For the past 30 years, Planting design has specialized in custom residential and commercial landscape design, construction, and installation. Rod’s extensive knowledge of plants and spatial layout have helped Planting Design create and build some of the most beautiful and unique gardens in the Pacific Northwest.  In addition to serving as owner/operator of Planting Design, in the past 15 years Rod and Mari have built a nursery up in Mount Vernon with over 20,000 trees in production.
